White grape varieties

Domaine Grand-Chemin welcomes visitors from Monday to Saturday in its tasting area in the centre of Savignargues to introduce them to its white Pays d'Oc Protected Geographical Indication wines.

Its range of varietal wines and blends, sweet and dry wines offers something for everyone.

Sentiments is a three-strong range of wines including a white blend of Sauvignon, Vermentino and Colombard, more commonly known as Passion de Blanc. This fresh, fruity wine with citrus notes makes a great aperitif but also a match for fish dishes.

The Origines range has two single varietal whites and a sweet white wine.

The first, Le Hors des Vignes, is a white, single varietal Chardonnay. During the tasting you will sense its floral, spicy notes on the nose and on the palate. Its substantial length on the finish is impressive. Ideal for an aperitif with friends, it also works well with white meats and cheeses.

The second, Le Faillet, is a dry white wine made from Viognier. Freighted with intense aromatics and beautiful freshness, it is extremely popular!

The last wine in the range, a sweet white, more commonly known as Effluves blanc, is now called Le Thau. Blended from Sauvignon and Colombard this sweet wine with citrus fruit aromas is fresh and low in alcohol and makes the perfect partner for both appetisers and desserts.

Last, but by no means least is our Anthus label from the ‘L'Histoire’ range. An unusual blend of four grape varieties - Chardonnay, Viognier, Rolle and Sauvignon - it certainly offers that element of surprise.
